Edition 2025 — Appia Day Monteiasi

On Sunday, October 12, 2025, Monteiasi hosted its stage of Appia Day, with a meeting point in Piazza Maria Immacolata. The heart of the day was a trekking route of about fourteen kilometers from the Mar Piccolo of Taranto to the village, through countryside and olive groves, to rediscover the territory on foot along the Via Appia Antica in a free and participatory day dedicated to the UNESCO-listed Regina Viarum.

Appia Day 2025 in Monteiasi

The Monteiasi stage of Appia Day 2025 took place on Sunday, October 12, 2025, with its nerve center in Piazza Maria Immacolata. The initiative was part of the rich Apulian program of the national event dedicated to the Via Appia Antica, which in 2025 involved numerous municipalities between the provinces of Taranto and Brindisi.

The highlight of the day was a trekking route of about 14 kilometers starting from the shores of the Mar Piccolo in Taranto and arriving in Monteiasi, a walk through countryside and olive groves organized by local hiking and cycling associations. The event, free and open to all, combined outdoor activities, landscape promotion, and the rediscovery of the historical memory of the Regina Viarum, in the Municipality of Monteiasi and within the broader framework of the Puglia region.
