Appennino Foto Festival

In 2025, the Appennino Foto Festival reached its sixth edition, with the theme "Fragility. The beauty of the ephemeral." According to artistic director Stefano Ciocchetti, fragile is that which can break easily, but it is precisely its ephemerality that makes it wonderfully unique in its beauty.

From June 6 to July 13, the festival took place in the villages of the Macerata area, including Belforte del Chienti, Caldarola, Camporotondo di Fiastrone, Cessapalombo, and Serrapetrona. In Belforte, the edition opened on Friday, June 6, with the exhibition "Scatole di luce" (Light Boxes) (a project with E-Distribuzione and the Academy of Fine Arts of Macerata) and, in the evening, with the presentation of a book by botanist Andrea Catorci at the Mario Ciocchetti Library. With over thirty events and eight exhibitions, the festival attracted more than 1,500 visitors in two weeks.
