Edition 2025 — Appennino Festival

In 2025, the Appennino Festival stopped in Castignano (AP) on Sunday, September 14, with the title "Between vineyards and wineries". The day began with an excursion of about 9.7 km through the hills and vineyards of the Piceno area, starting at 9:00 AM from San Bernardino, and concluded in the afternoon with the Festa Zigana by the group Acquaragia Drom, a historic Italian folk band. A convivial lunch and wine tastings in local wineries were also planned. Free entry to the performance with booking.

The 2025 edition of the Appennino Festival, the sixteenth, took place from May 4 to October 12, 2025, with free events in 28 municipalities of the central Apennines affected by the 2016 earthquake, confirming the formula that combines excursions and live performances.

The stop in Castignano (province of Ascoli Piceno), titled "Between vineyards and wineries", was held on Sunday, September 14. After meeting at San Bernardino at 9:00 AM, participants walked a loop of about 9.7 km with a 432-meter elevation gain, passing through several local wineries – including Scac Cantine di Castignano, Tenuta Spinelli, and Rocca di Castiglioni. This was followed by a convivial lunch and, at 3:30 PM, the Festa Zigana with a concert by the group Acquaragia Drom, one of the most renowned folk and gypsy music ensembles in Italy.
