Appenninica MTB Stage Race

2025 Edition

The 2025 edition of the Appenninica MTB Stage Race took place from June 23 to 27 along the Emilian Apennines, in the provinces of Bologna, Modena, and Reggio Emilia. The route, approximately 320 km with a total elevation gain of 12,200 meters, connected the villages of Lizzano in Belvedere and Castelnovo ne' Monti, with Riolunato in the heart of the Apennines.

Among the men, the final victory went to Diego Arias, who secured his second title at the Appenninica after that of 2022. In the women's category, the win went to Lola Bakker, who managed to come back after a difficulty in the second stage and finish ahead of American Syd Schulz. The final arrival, as is tradition, took place in Castelnovo ne' Monti at the foot of the Pietra di Bismantova.
