Apennine Carnival / The Dead Carnival

The 2025 edition of the Carnival of Apecchio confirmed the vitality of this tradition in the upper Marche Apennines. Along the streets of the village's historic center, in the province of Pesaro and Urbino, the parade of allegorical floats took place starting at 9:00 PM, with the staging of the Dead Carnival. The evening continued with music and dancing at the middle school gym, from 10:30 PM.

There was also space for families, with a Carnival party dedicated to the youngest children organized in the afternoon at the middle school gym. The event, managed by the Pro Loco of Apecchio, renewed the archaic rite of burning the effigy, which symbolically concludes the festivities.
