Edition 2025 — Anzio Landing Anniversary

In January 2025, Anzio and Nettuno commemorated the 81st anniversary of the Allied Landing. The official ceremonies on January 22nd at the war cemeteries and the War Memorial were accompanied by a rich calendar of exhibitions, book presentations, and initiatives dedicated to schools and the civilian population.

81st Anniversary of the Landing

The 2025 edition marked the eighty-first anniversary of the 1944 Allied landing. On January 22nd, the customary sequence of official ceremonies took place, from the Beachhead War Cemetery in Falasche to the War Memorial in Piazza Garibaldi in Anzio, up to Piazza Cesare Battisti in Nettuno.

The program included exhibitions of military models and relics at Villa Adele, the exhibition "Wilma, the evacuated child" at Villa Sarsina, book presentations, a musical show with videomapping in the city center, and numerous educational activities with schools. The initiative "Land in Anzio with taste" also involved the city's restaurants with themed gastronomic proposals.
