Antiqua in San Raffaele Cimena

The 30th edition of Antiqua, the early music festival promoted by the Accademia del Ricercare, brought great early music to San Raffaele Cimena in 2025. On May 15, 2025, the Arianna Art Ensemble presented the program «Music in the Italian Courts of the 17th Century» in the Church of San Raffaele Arcangelo, on Via Maestra.

Performed on original instruments and according to historical performance practice, the concert revived the splendor of the courts of Venice, Bologna, Mantua, Rome, Naples, and Sicily, with music by Frescobaldi, Monteverdi, Cazzati, Vitali, Merula, and Buonamente, alongside lesser-known composers such as Roncaglia, Boddeker, and Mussi. The evening, with free admission, confirmed the bond between the festival and the Canavese municipality in the Metropolitan City of Turin.
