Edition 2025 — Anti-Racist Carnival
16th edition: The Invisible Cities
The sixteenth edition of the Anti-Racist Carnival of South Rome, promoted by the groups of the Rete Roma Sud with the patronage of the Municipality VIII of Rome, took place during the 2025 Carnival season, starting from Parco Schuster and arriving at Parco Garbatella.
The edition was dedicated to the memory of Italo Calvino and his novel Invisible Cities: in the preparatory workshops, children and families imagined and put into verse the city they desire, which was then made visible along the parade route. The day continued at Parco Schuster with Obà Roma - Resistant Carnival, featuring live music, Afro-Brazilian dance, capoeira, and samba, testifying to the meeting of cultures that characterizes the event.
