Edition 2025 — Carnival of Rionero

In 2025, the Anthropological Carnival of Rionero in Vulture also animated the Vulture village according to tradition, opening on January 17th for Saint Anthony Abbot's feast, with Saturday parades and the archaic mask of Turdei as the protagonist of the carnival days.

The Anthropological Carnival of Rionero in Vulture renewed its oldest tradition in 2025, opening on January 17th with the feast of Saint Anthony Abbot and continuing in the following weeks with parades, masks, and the inevitable presence of Turdei. The event, one of the most representative of the anthropological carnivals of Basilicata, confirmed its strong identity value, drawing citizens and visitors to the village streets around the archaic symbols of the Lucanian peasant world.
