Edition 2025 — Annunziata and Saint Joseph Festival

In 2025, Alcara li Fusi celebrated the traditional March festival in honor of the Most Holy Annunziata and Saint Joseph. The novena preceded the processions of March 19 and 25, featuring the meeting of the statues in the heart of the Nebrodi village and the ancient Motta rites passed down through generations.

The 2025 edition opened with the novena and festivities in honor of the Most Holy Annunziata and Saint Joseph, as announced by the local Nebrodi press in mid-March. On March 19, after the Solemn Mass dedicated to Saint Joseph, the procession led the statues through the narrow streets of the medieval Motta district to the evocative "meeting" in Piazza San Pantaleone, accompanied by the brass band. The festival concluded with the bows of greeting between the two saints. On March 25, the Solemnity of the Annunciation was celebrated, confirming a living tradition deeply rooted in the community of Alcara li Fusi, in the province of Messina.
