Anno Domini 1100 - Regnano Castello

The 2025 edition of Anno Domini 1100 was held on July 5th and 6th in Regnano Castello, a hamlet of Casola in Lunigiana, in the Province of Massa-Carrara. As per tradition since 2007, most of the approximately one hundred inhabitants dressed as peasants, warriors, and artisans of the Early Middle Ages.

Along the village alleys, the historical pageant, combat between warriors, ancient crafts, and the medieval market followed one another, while the encampment with a field kitchen and the taverns accompanied the two days. There was no shortage of the solemn reading of Guiterno di Guido's will, investiture ceremonies, and performances by flag-wavers, falconers, and musicians, confirming it as one of the most authentic re-enactments in Lunigiana.
