Edition 2025 — Andreas Hofer Commemoration Ehrenburg

The 2025 edition of the Andreas Hofer Commemoration in Casteldarne (Ehrenburg) was held on February 23, 2025, focusing on the theme «Unrecht wird nicht zu Recht» (Injustice does not become justice). The Schützenkompanie Ehrenburg organized the commemoration with the participation of local authorities.

The Holy Mass for the 2025 edition was celebrated by Father Paul Borek, with accompaniment by the Musikkapelle Kiens and the Ehrenburg male choir. The commemorative speech was delivered by Sven Knoll, who linked Andreas Hofer's historical struggle to current issues of linguistic rights and autonomy.

Hauptmann Juri Oberlechner opened the ceremony by remembering the late activist Sepp Forer. Mayor Andreas Falkensteiner, Deputy Mayor Markus Mitterhofer, and Chienes municipal councilors were in attendance. The day concluded with the laying of the wreath and the Schützen honor salute.
