Edition 2025 — Ancona Revisited

Ancona Revisited originates from the photographic work that Massimo Baldini has dedicated to his city for years. Throughout 2025, the Ancona-born photographer continued his research into the places and faces of Ancona, building the dialogue with Franco Scataglini's verses that would later take its final form in the 2026 exhibition at the Mole Vanvitelliana.

Before its public debut at the Mole Vanvitelliana, the project Ancona Revisited took shape through the work that Massimo Baldini, an Ancona photographer dedicated exclusively to photography since 2014, conducted on the city's identity. The research juxtaposes shots dedicated to the port, the Passetto, and the Cathedral of San Ciriaco with the verses of Franco Scataglini, a voice of Italian neodialectalism most closely associated with Ancona. A journey of interpretation of the Marche capital's territory that intertwines photography, poetry, and memory, and which led to the exhibition hosted in Ancona, in the Marche region.
