Edition 2025 — Ancient Sounds
The seventh edition of the Ancient Sounds Festival enlivened Macerata Campania, in the province of Caserta, from September 25 to 28, 2025, with four consecutive evenings in Piazza Francesco II di Borbone, the town's market area.
The opening, on Thursday the 25th, was entrusted to tradition, with a performance by the 'capicarro' (float leaders) of the 'battuglie' from the Macerata Campania Float Association. On the evening of the 26th, the festival gave space to inclusion, with users of the Aria Nuova Social Cooperative of Galluccio, from the Icaro consortium, followed by a concert by Antonio Castrignanò, one of the symbolic voices of the Notte della Taranta in Melpignano. September 27th was the turn of the local artist Agostino "Priore", while on the 28th, the grand finale featured Suoni Antichi - i bottari di Macerata Campania, fresh from their summer tour Abballa dint'o fuoco.
Each evening closed with a DJ set by Mr. Trump, while street and slow food stalls, street performers, and craft stalls accompanied the public from the late afternoon. The event, with free admission, was organized by the Ancient Sounds Social Promotion Association with the patronage of the Municipality of Macerata Campania.
