Ancient Historical Rose Pageant

On Saturday, October 25, 2025, starting at 3:30 PM, San Gregorio di Catania relived its Renaissance splendor with the Ancient Historical Rose Pageant. The village was transformed into an open-air stage with a parade of allegorical floats adorned with roses of every color.

In Piazza Marconi, on the steps of the Town Hall, representatives of the noble Massa family, Dukes of Paternò, made their appearance, followed by the Field Notary, the Feudal Congregations, knights, men-at-arms, and jugglers. The Jousting Tournament saw five knights compete with lances representing the town's districts. The day concluded with fire shows and pyrotechnic displays before a large crowd that had arrived from all over the province of Catania.
