Ancient Grains and Bread Festival

Third edition 2025

From September 2 to 4, 2025, Calamonaci hosted the third edition of the Ancient Grains and Bread Festival, enlivening Piazza San Vincenzo Ferreri with a three-day program. It opened with the talk show "Ancient grains, a healthy and incomparable resource" and tastings in the square, accompanied by musical entertainment.

Among the most appreciated events were the "Hands in the Dough" workshops for children led by master baker Angelo Tudisco, the conference "Regenerating beauty: villages between innovation and community," the cooking show with chef Giuseppe Alessi, and the tasting of the traditional lasagne 'ncapu u scannaturi. There was no shortage of vintage car and motorcycle rallies, fire shows, cabaret, and evening concerts. Mayor Pino Spinelli expressed great satisfaction with the success of the event and the large turnout that filled the village square.
