Edition 2025 — Classici in Scaena

The fifth edition of Classici in Scaena was held on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, in the Libarna Archaeological Area, Serravalle Scrivia. Student-actors from Piedmontese high schools performed The Trojan Women by Euripides, The Clouds by Aristophanes, and The Myths of Love, with a special guest appearance by the V.A.N. Collective from Syracuse and their show Odisseo Superstar. Free admission with voluntary donation.

5th Edition — June 3, 2025

The fifth edition of the An Ancient Present – Classici in Scaena festival took place on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, in the amphitheatre of the Libarna Archaeological Area in Serravalle Scrivia (AL). A day entirely dedicated to classical theatre, featuring drama workshops from Piedmontese high schools and a prestigious evening guest performance.

The program brought together Liceo Amaldi of Novi Ligure with The Trojan Women by Euripides, Liceo Peano of Tortona with The Clouds by Aristophanes, and Liceo Balbo of Casale Monferrato with The Myths of Love. The highlight of the year was the extraordinary guest appearance by the V.A.N. Collective (Verso Altre Narrazioni) from Syracuse, an ensemble of young professionals who revisited classical theatre with a modern twist in Odisseo Superstar.
