Edition 2025 — Amenanos Festival

The 6th edition of the Amenanos Festival was held from 24 to 29 May 2025 at the Greco-Roman Theatre of Catania. The programme featured two masterpieces of ancient theatre: Seneca's Medea (24-27 May) and Euripides' The Bacchae (25-29 May), both directed by Daniele Salvo, accompanied by the Amenanos Neos section dedicated to schools.

Amenanos Festival 2025 – 6th edition

The 2025 edition of the Amenanos Festival brought great classical tragedy to the Greco-Roman Theatre of Catania from 24 to 29 May, directed by Daniele Salvo.

On stage

  • Medea by Seneca (24-27 May), starring Melania Giglio and Michele Lisi
  • The Bacchae by Euripides (25-29 May), with Daniele Salvo in the role of Dionysus, Michele Lisi (Pentheus), and Melania Giglio (Agave)

The festival, organised by the DIDE Association in collaboration with the Archaeological Park of Catania and the Aci Valley, once again featured the Amenanos Neos section for students, confirming the festival's commitment to bridging classical theatre and new generations.
