Alvese Chestnut Festival

In 2025, the Festa dei Maruni celebrated its 43rd edition in the hamlet of Alvese in Nogarole Vicentino, from October 24 to 26. Alongside roasted chestnuts and chestnut cakes, the food stall offered fioretta and potato gnocchi with various sauces, grilled meat with polenta, simple traditional Venetian dishes, and tripe. The evenings were enlivened by music: Friday the 24th with 'Crash – The Party', Saturday the 25th with 'Divertida', and Sunday the 26th with the ballroom dancing of Silvia Peruzzi, all under a large covered marquee. Organized by the Gruppo Alvese Onlus, the festival reaffirmed its connection with the region's autumn tradition.
