Àltera - Improvised Music Encounters

The 2025 edition

Throughout 2025, the Àltera collective animated the ARCI Fanfulla 5/a club in Rome's Pigneto district with its monthly appointments dedicated to improvisational practices. The proven formula — three live sets of about thirty minutes, with musicians of different generations and backgrounds called to build a common language in real time, followed by a DJ set — continued to attract the audience of sound experimentation in the capital and the Lazio region.

Among the documented evenings, the one on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, stands out, featuring the voice and electronics of Ludovica Manzo alongside Edoardo Maria Bellucci, the drums of Marcello Magliocchi with Renato Ferreira on tenor sax and Alessandro Ciccarelli on electronics, and the acoustic guitar of Giacomo Ancillotto in a quintet with Gianni Trovalusci, Francesco Panconesi, Ferdinando Romano, and Anton Sconosciuto; closing the evening was a DJ set by Brutta Botta.

Admission was reserved for members with a 2024/2025 ARCI card.
