Edition 2025 — Almtanz Kalcheralm

In the summer of 2025, the Almtanz Kalcheralm brought the tradition of South Tyrolean folk dance to the Kalcheralm (1,840 m) in the Racines Valley. Organised by the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Volkstanz in Südtirol with the Volkstanzkreis Wipptal, the event combined a religious service, dances in costume, and mountain specialties, set against the backdrop of the Racines mountain hut trail.

The 2025 edition of the Almtanz Kalcheralm took place at the Kalcheralm, in the municipality of Racines in the province of Bolzano. As is tradition, the day alternated between a religious service at the hut and South Tyrolean folk dances in costume, performed by the Wipptal Volkstanz groups.

The festival was held on the same day as the Ratschinger Almenfest, involving hikers and families along the mountain hut trail, amidst music, dancing, and South Tyrolean culinary specialties at an altitude of 1,840 metres.
