Almfest with Cheese Cutting at Laatscher Alm

2025 Edition

The Almfest mit Käseanschnitt 2025 took place on Sunday, July 19, 2025, at the Laatscher Alm, 2,049 meters above Malles Venosta in the Upper Vinschgau Valley (Bolzano province). The festival began at 11:00 AM with an outdoor mass celebrated by Abbot Philipp.

This was followed by the highlight of the day, the alpine cheese cutting (Käseanschnitt), with tasting and sales of the wheels aged during the summer. There was no shortage of food, drinks, and a great entertainment program with folk music, in a convivial atmosphere typical of South Tyrolean alpine festivals. The event was organized by the Laatsch alpine pasture association together with the hut's team.
