Edition 2025 — Almabtrieb Malga Upi

The 2025 edition of the Almabtrieb from Malga Upi took place on Sunday, September 7, 2025, in Sluderno/Schluderns. The cattle arrived around 11:00 AM at Konfall Park, with the finest dairy cows adorned with flowers, ribbons, and bells. From 12:00 PM, the village celebrated with a community festival: South Tyrolean gastronomy, drinks, and musical accompaniment enlivened the day.

Almabtrieb 2025 in Sluderno

The 2025 edition was held on Sunday, September 7 in Sluderno (Schluderns), in the upper Vinschgau Valley. The return of the cattle from Malga Upi drew residents and visitors to Konfall Park, where the procession arrived around 11:00 AM.

The finest dairy cows paraded sumptuously decorated with flower crowns, ribbons, and large bells, following the valley's farming custom. Starting at noon, the village hosted a community festival with food stalls offering South Tyrolean specialties, drinks, and musical entertainment. The event, organized by the Alminteressentschaft Schluderns, reaffirmed the identity value of this South Tyrolean tradition.
