Edition 2025 — Almabtrieb Terento

The 2025 edition of the Almabtrieb in Terento took place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. In the village center, in the Puster Valley, livestock adorned with cowbells, flowers, and garlands descended from the pastures around 2:00 PM, accompanied by the procession, Goaslkrocha, and Schuhplattler dancers, amidst stalls of Tyrolean specialties.

Almabtrieb 2025 in Terento

The 2025 edition was held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, in the center of Terento, in the Puster Valley (South Tyrol). From 10:00 AM, local associations set up stalls with rural specialties — Tirschtlan, Gerstsuppe, Pressknödel — while around 2:00 PM, richly adorned cows, calves, and sheep made their entrance accompanied by the festive procession.

The day was enlivened by Plünderfuhren, whip-cracking (Goaslkrocha), Schuhplattler dances, and music from the band. The Almabtrieb, one of the key events of 's Terner Schmelzpfandl, was followed by the Terner Bauernkuchl (October 17-26, 2025), dedicated to the local rural cuisine.
