Allegria: The Carnival That Fills the Heart of Ottavia

The 2025 Edition

On the weekend of March 1 and 2, 2025, the Ottavia neighborhood, in Municipio XIV of Rome, was animated by the Carnival festival organized by local associations. The heart of the event was Via della Lucchina, along with other spaces in the neighborhood, with a program designed primarily for families.

Throughout the days, costumed groups, street performers, jugglers, and musicians alternated, alongside sports activities, workshops for children, shows, and street food stations. There were also thematic areas dedicated to the world of comics and cosplay, with games and markets, which expanded the event's audience beyond the neighborhood's borders.

On the same weekend, also in Municipio XIV, a second Carnival festival was held at Piazza di Nostra Signora di Guadalupe, organized by the "Piccoli Mercanti" association, so that the entire northern area of Rome remained lively for two consecutive days.
