Alla Corte di Macalda

The 2025 edition of Alla Corte di Macalda was held on September 29 in Scaletta Zanclea (Messina), confirming the autumn appointment with the village's medieval historical re-enactment.

The "Noble Sicilian Houses at the Court of Macalda" pageant set off from Piazza Croce, crossing the streets of Scaletta Superiore up to the Castello Rufo Ruffo. The public witnessed performances by flag-wavers and musicians, demonstrations by archers and falconers, and period dances, with delegations and historical groups arriving from all over Sicily. Organized by the Pro Loco of Scaletta Zanclea, chaired by Simona Villari, with the patronage of the Municipality and the Sicilian Region, the event concluded with the ballad "Macalda, signura di Scaletta" reinterpreted by Fabio Foti.
