Edition 2025 — All Souls' at Verano
2025 Edition
On Sunday, November 2nd, 2025, Pope Leo XIV presided over the Eucharistic celebration for the commemoration of all the faithful departed at the Verano Monumental Cemetery, continuing the custom of the pontiffs to celebrate every November 2nd in a cemetery in the city of Rome. Verano was joined by celebrations in the other Capitolini cemeteries, from Flaminio in Prima Porta to Ostia Antica.
The week of the commemoration featured a particularly well-curated cultural program: the guided trail Le audaci, a century of women's history told through funerary monuments with recited passages and performance events by the National Academy of Dance; a concert at the Quadriportico dedicated to film music, with a special tribute to Ennio Morricone performed by the Rome Capital Local Police Band; and the inauguration of the trail Nature, History, and Landscape at the Verano Monumental Cemetery.
AMA and the City of Rome activated the usual reception plan, with five information gazebos, extended hours from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and free shuttles every 15-30 minutes across 21 stops, with additional trips for the Pincetto area.
