The 23rd edition of Alice nella Città took place in Rome from October 15 to 26, 2025, across the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone, the Auditorium della Conciliazione, and Cinema Adriano. Eleven films in international competition, six titles in Panorama Italia, dozens of short films, restorations, and masterclasses made up a program opened by the debut work Good Boy by Ben Leonberg.

Alice nella Città 2025, the 23rd edition

Directed by Fabia Bettini and Gianluca Giannelli, the 2025 edition was held from October 15 to 26 in Rome, in parallel with the Rome Film Fest. The international competition featured eleven feature films, several of which were directed by women, while Panorama Italia showcased six Italian titles competing for the Audience Award. The program also included special screenings, television series, restorations, and a wide-ranging short film competition divided into international, Italian, and Academy sections.

The opening film was Good Boy, an independent debut work by Ben Leonberg. Among the most anticipated titles were Anemone, the debut of Ronan Day-Lewis starring Daniel Day-Lewis, presented by the authors with a masterclass open to the public, and The President's Cake by Hasan Hadi, Caméra d'Or winner at Cannes 2025. The program was completed by a retrospective dedicated to Carla Simón and the Fuori Sala format, which spread across Rome's historic center between October and early November.
