Edition 2025 — Scarlatti Season Palermo

The 2025 Concert Season of the Scarlatti Conservatory opened on February 2 at the Main Hall of the Teatro Massimo with the Symphony Orchestra conducted by Maestro Giuseppe Crapisi and soloists Enrico Simonetta and Matteo Pierro, in a program featuring music by Lampasona, Liszt, Tchaikovsky, and Franck. Until December 9, the festival brought dozens of concerts to theaters, churches, and historic landmarks across the city.

The 2025 edition confirmed the festival's widespread format, organized from February to December in prestigious venues: the Teatro Massimo, the Martorana Church, the Cathedral, the Church of San Giuseppe dei Teatini, the Abbey of San Martino delle Scale, as well as the Conservatory's own halls and city spaces like La Feltrinelli and the Circolo Artistico.

Among the most popular series were the fourth edition of "Tracce di Suoni" dedicated to contemporary music, curated by maestros Fulvia Ricevuto and Fabio Correnti, and the jazz music festival (May 5-13). The social vocation was also strong, with cycles like "Notes for health, music and care" in the Ismett, La Maddalena, and Civico oncology hospitals, and "Music in the heart" in the city's nursing homes. A season that reaffirmed the role of the Alessandro Scarlatti Conservatory as a musical stronghold for the Municipality of Palermo.
