Al Centro di Roma - Lecture Series (Vittoriano and Palazzo Venezia)

2025 Edition: Philosophy joins the program

The IV edition of Al Centro di Roma opened on January 30, 2025, at Palazzo Venezia, confirming the weekly Thursday 6:00 PM schedule and exceeding thirty meetings. The novelty of the year was the introduction of a philosophy cycle, titled Reasons and Passions. From Classical Greece to Neuroscience and curated by Francesco Ferretti, alongside the now-established strands dedicated to history, art history, archaeology, and architecture.

The inaugural cycle, Ideas and Figures. Stories of Innovative Strategies for Architecture, was curated by Orazio Carpenzano. Among the most followed meetings, on February 6, Sandro Carocci held the lecture The Rome You Don't See. Glimpses of Medieval Rome between fortresses, towers, and porticoes, within the historical cycle curated by Francesco Benigno.

Also in 2025, all lectures were free to attend until capacity was reached, in the Sala del Refettorio at Via del Plebiscito 118, with booking recommended on Eventbrite. The edition recorded a total of approximately four thousand attendees, a result that prompted the VIVE Institute to further expand the program in 2026.
