Also in the summer of 2025, the Municipality of Motta Camastra, in the province of Messina, proposed the Agosto Mottese festival, enlivening the squares and alleys of the historic center throughout the month of August with musical performances, street parties, and community gatherings for residents and the many vacationers.

The month concluded, as per tradition, with the patronal feasts: the feast of Maria Santissima di Montalto, protector of the town, celebrated on the penultimate Sunday of August with a solemn procession, and that of Saint Michael the Archangel, patron of Motta Camastra, honored the following day. Two events that every year attract the faithful even from neighboring centers, confirming the strong identity bond of the Alcantara village with its own religious and popular traditions.
