Agosto Montefalchese e Fuga del Bove

The 2025 edition of the Agosto Montefalchese and Fuga del Bove confirmed the charm of one of Umbria's most cherished medieval reenactments. In Montefalco, in the province of Perugia, the four districts — San Bartolomeo, San Fortunato, San Francesco, and Sant'Agostino — competed for victory in the challenges staged in Piazza del Comune.

Historical processions in costume, flag-wavers' and drummers' competitions, district shows, relay races, and crossbow shooting marked the evenings, leading up to the spectacular Fuga del Bove. The district taverns offered traditional dishes, from gnocchi with Sagrantino wine to steak, in a blend of history, folklore, and food and wine.
