Agorà Festival

The first edition of Agorà Festival was held in Cesena from October 24th to 26th, 2025, with the theme Fragility: The Challenges of the Present, a lens through which to view contemporary issues concerning the fragility of individuals, communities, economies, and democracies.

Conceived, designed, and organized by Editori Laterza and promoted by the Municipality of Cesena, the event offered a packed program structured into ten different formats, such as Nella storia (In History), Parole pericolose (Dangerous Words), Pro e contro (Pros and Cons), Reading, and Interviste (Interviews). The events took place at the Teatro Alessandro Bonci, the Sala Sozzi of Palazzo del Ridotto, and the Biblioteca Malatestiana.

Guests included historian Alessandro Barbero, linguist Vera Gheno, historian Benedetta Tobagi, and writer Fabio Geda. The debut was a great public success, with over 9,000 attendees in total over the three days.
