Agorà Design

From October 2 to 5, 2025, Martano hosted the edition of Agorà Design dedicated to the theme "The Necessary Project", inspired by Dieter Rams' principle "Less, but better". The festival enlivened the Baronial Palace and the Ducal Palace, while the Aragonese Castle provided the backdrop for the exhibition of finalist projects selected from over one hundred and fifty participants in the Living and Garden sections.

The program alternated between talks, masterclasses, workshops for adults and children, and the new Agorà Design Off and Agorà Design Kids sections. Among the announced guests were leading names in Italian design and architecture, from designers to scholars and representatives of important foundations and industry magazines.

Thursday, October 2

• 19:00-21:00 — Inauguration at the Baronial Palace and opening of exhibitions

Friday, October 3

• 12:00-13:00 and 17:00-19:00 — Educational talks with designers, creatives, and companies
• 16:30-18:30 — Workshop for children "To make the forest" (6-10 years old)

Saturday, October 4

• 10:45-11:45 and 12:00-13:00 — Masterclasses
• 16:00-20:00 — Afternoon talks
• 16:30-18:30 — Workshop for adults "Common Space"

Sunday, October 5

• 11:00-12:30 and 17:00-18:30 — Award ceremony for the international competition (Living and Garden sections)

Exhibitions

• "The Necessary Project" at the Baronial Palace with finalist projects
• "Agorà Design Off" at the Ducal Palace: Kids, The Moral Space, Urban Nature

Among the guests of the 2025 edition: Giulio Iacchetti, Arturo Vittori, Mauro Bubbico, Luca Molinari, Giovanna Castiglioni (Achille Castiglioni Foundation), Raul Pantaleo (TAMassociati), Simona Bordone, Alessio Battistella (ARCò). New this year were the Agorà Design Off and Agorà Design Kids sections, featuring workshops for schools.
