Africa Festival 2025 at Appia Joy Park

2025 was the year of consecration for the Africa Festival in Rome. The second edition took place on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at the Appia Joy Park on Via Annia Regilla 245, from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM with free admission, offering a day dedicated to the culture, music, flavors, and colors of the African continent.

The food stands represented Ethiopia, Senegal, Mauritius, Ivory Coast, Congo, Mozambique, and Cape Verde, accompanied by an artisan market and a program of live music, percussion, and dance.

The public's response prompted the Sarti del Gusto to organize a third edition in the same year, on Sunday, October 19, 2025, also at the Appia Joy Park and also with free admission: the program included African dance curated by choreographer Ashai Lombardo Arop, the Ethiopian coffee ceremony in the afternoon, percussion workshops for children aged six and up, the African artisan market, and vintage and green market areas.
