Edition 2025 — Aeolians in the World
The 13th edition of the Aeolian Festival in the World took place from September 4th to 7th, 2025, spread over four evenings between Lipari and Salina. The opening, on Thursday, September 4th at the Castle Theatre in Lipari, featured films on René Favaloro, discussions on roots tourism, and a show dedicated to Argentine tango, with the signing of the twinning pact with Mar del Plata. On Friday, September 5th, in Piazza San Gaetano in Leni, the commemorative ceremony for Favaloro was held with theatre and Aeolian music. On Saturday, September 6th, in Piazza Santa Marina in Santa Marina Salina, institutional meetings and greetings with the mayors of the Aeolian municipalities took place. Sunday, September 7th marked the closing: a commemorative mass for deceased Aeolian emigrants and, in Piazza Immacolata in Malfa, the celebration of the centenary of the Aeolian Islands Society of Melbourne with a final concert. The event was organized by the Circe Cultural Association and the Aeolian Museum of Immigration, chaired by the historian Marcello Saija.

- Sunday, September 7 — Santa Marina and Malfa: Commemorative mass (6:30 PM) and, in Piazza Immacolata in Malfa (9:30 PM), celebration of the centenary of the Aeolian Islands Society of Melbourne with a final concert.
