About Adrikà

Adrikà is the international archaeological cinema festival that intertwines films, documentaries, and archaeology in the territory of Adria and the Po Delta. Born in 2025 from an idea by the Circolo del Cinema Carlo Mazzacurati, in collaboration with the Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Adria, it offers international screenings, silent films with live music, workshops for schools, and educational projects. A unique event of its kind in the Veneto region, which dialogues with the historical heritage of Polesine and the language of cinema.

When cinema tells archaeology

Adrikà is the International Archaeological Cinema Festival of Adria and the Po Delta, in the province of Rovigo. Born in 2025 from an idea by the Circolo del Cinema Carlo Mazzacurati and hosted by the Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Adria, it is realized with the artistic direction of the archaeological cinema festival of Licodia Eubea.

Screenings and meetings

The program features international films, documentaries, and short films, meetings, and shows, with the special feature of screenings of silent films accompanied by live jazz music. The festival combines dissemination and quality, aimed at enthusiasts, students, and the curious.

A territorial project

Adrikà involves not only Adria but also the Municipalities of Porto Viro, Loreo, and Fratta Polesine, with the site of Frattesina, and provides space for educational projects with schools, such as 'Etruscreen' with the Bocchi-Galilei high school. It is, to date, the only initiative of its kind in Veneto.

Adrikà — edition 2026

The 2nd edition of Adrikà (September 9-13, 2026) involves Adria, Porto Viro, Loreo, and Fratta Polesine with international screenings, silent films with live jazz, workshops, and educational projects like Etruscreen.

The second edition of Adrikà will take place from September 9 to 13, 2026, extending beyond Adria to the Municipalities of Porto Viro and Loreo and up to Fratta Polesine, with the Frattesina site.
