Nativity scenes, markets and Christmas atmospheres in the historic center of Adria
Adria di Natale is the festival that accompanies the holiday season in the historic center of Adria, in the province of Rovigo. Organized by the Pro Loco of Adria, it intertwines religious tradition, nativity art, and entertainment, from December 8th until Epiphany.
The symbol of the event is the nativity scene created by the Pro Loco, set up on the water when conditions permit, or on the liston of Piazza Garibaldi. Alongside it, the 'Presepi in Chiesa' competition and an exhibition of artistic nativity scenes enrich the city's Christmas itinerary.
The program includes Christmas-themed poetry readings and a widespread display of decorations and lights in the historic center, transforming the city streets into a festive route for residents and visitors.
The event is curated by the Pro Loco of Adria, a reference point for the city's events in the Polesine region.
For Christmas 2026, the Pro Loco of Adria will once again present the city's Christmas festival, from December 8th to January 8th. The traditional elements are confirmed: the nativity scene on the water or in Piazza Garibaldi, the 'Presepi in Chiesa' competition, the exhibition of artistic nativity scenes, and poetry readings.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition will be announced by the Pro Loco of Adria in the autumn. The usual structure includes:
Historic center of Adria (RO): Piazza Garibaldi, city churches, and streets of the center.
From December 8th to January 8th.
