Swordfish Festival 2025 — 34th edition

In 2025, the historic Acitrezza Swordfish Festival reached its 34th edition, organized in the two usual appointments: from June 6 to 8 and from July 4 to 6, with evenings starting around 7:30 PM at the Scalo di Alaggio.

Four large grills seared thousands of swordfish steaks, caught by local boats and seasoned according to the traditional recipe with oil, lemon, oregano, and salt, served with fresh salad, homemade bread, and a glass of white wine. The event, organized by the Saint John the Baptist Festival Committee together with the Confraternity and with the patronage of the Municipality of Aci Castello, brought the Cyclops Promenade to life with stalls featuring local products and handicrafts.
