Edition 2025 — Accessibility Days

The 2025 edition of Accessibility Days was held on May 15 and 16 at the Institute for the Blind in Milan, prior to the move to Rome for the tenth anniversary. Two days of meetings, workshops, roundtables, and testimonials on web and mobile accessibility, accessible artificial intelligence, inclusive design, gaming for all, and barrier-free digital education, with free participation in-person and via live stream.

The Milan edition

Before arriving in Rome, Accessibility Days stopped in Milan, hosted by the historic Institute for the Blind, on May 15 and 16, 2025. The event thus confirmed its itinerant nature, which allows it to build different local networks each year between universities, associations, and companies.

Themes addressed

The program brought together presentations on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications, accessible artificial intelligence, inclusive design, gaming for all, and barrier-free digital education, alternating conferences, immersive workshops, roundtables, and direct testimonials from people with disabilities.

Participation and services

Admission was free upon registration. Those who attended in person found an exhibition area, immersive workshops, and accessibility services with real-time captioning and Italian Sign Language interpretation; the remote audience was able to follow the sessions live with interactive Q&A moments. As every year, the event took place in conjunction with Global Accessibility Awareness Day.
