Abbazie Summer Festival – San Giovanni ad Insulam Abbey

The 2025 edition of the Abbazie Summer Festival celebrated the ten-year anniversary of the Concerti delle Abbazie series with two months of music, art, nature, and culture in the province of Teramo, organized into the 'Abbazie Jazz' and 'Abbazie Classica' sections.

At the San Giovanni ad Insulam Abbey in Isola del Gran Sasso d'Italia (TE), three major concerts took place: July 29 with the Al Di Meola Acoustic Trio, July 30 with Max Ionata & Hammond Grooves, and July 31 with the Kevin Hays Trio featuring Thomas Morgan on double bass and Jeff Ballard on drums. The concerts were accompanied by artist meet-and-greets, tastings of local products, and guided tours, creating an experience that combined music, monastic heritage, and the Gran Sasso landscape.
