Edition 2025 — A Sea of Culture

The inaugural edition of A Sea of Culture took place from June 13 to September 14, 2025, on the public beaches of Ostia Ponente. The first year of the festival, promoted by Rome Capital as part of the Roman Summer, brought free shows, music, dance, readings, and cinema to the coast, recording high public participation and closing with a tribute to Pier Paolo Pasolini.

2025 Edition

The first edition of A Sea of Culture enlivened the public beaches of Ostia Ponente from June 13 to September 14, 2025, inaugurating a format destined to be repeated in subsequent years. Promoted by the Department of Culture of Rome Capital with the Teatro del Lido di Ostia, the Rome Library Institution, and the Elsa Morante Library, the festival offered local entertainment, live shows, DJ sets, literary meetings, and dance performances along the Lungomare Duca degli Abruzzi, at the Idroscalo, and at the Piccola Oasi of Stella Polare. Among the most popular events were the Punta Sacra Film Fest and a program dedicated to children and families. The excellent public response confirmed the format, which was repeated in 2026.
