A Magical Christmas 2025 in Altamura

The 2025 edition of A Magical Christmas took place from December 6, 2025, to January 6, 2026, with a rich calendar of events promoted by the municipal administration of Altamura and entrusted to the organization of Piesse Management. The historic center was illuminated with artistic lights, accompanied by markets, shows, and entertainment in all the main squares of the city.

The festival kicked off on December 6th with the official lighting of the Christmas Tree in Piazza Duomo, featuring carols and cabaret, and continued for a full month with concerts, choirs, bagpipers, parades, stilt walkers, and workshops for children. Santa's Grotto in Piazza Duomo, the craft markets, and the living nativity scene were highly anticipated. The program concluded with the Epiphany celebrations and the descent of the Befanas.

Saturday, December 6 - Inauguration

• 6:30 PM - Piazza Duomo: Christmas Carols with the Don Milani - Padre Pio Comprehensive Institute
• 7:30 PM - Piazza Duomo: Holiday preview with Filippo Ciaccia, cabaret by Nicola Calia
• 8:00 PM - Piazza Duomo: Official lighting of the Christmas Tree, followed by children's entertainment
• 6:30 PM and 8:00 PM - Piazza Repubblica: "Colors on a Sleigh" workshop
• 7:00 PM and 8:30 PM - Piazza Municipio: "The Magic of the Winter Forest"

Christmas Markets

• December 6, 7, and 8 - Piazza Repubblica, from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM
• In the following weeks also in Piazza Matteotti and Piazza San Giovanni: local artistic crafts, handmade products, and traditional Murgia food and wine
