“A Light for Life” Torchlight Procession

Third edition: June 1, 2025

The “A Light for Life” torchlight procession in 2025 took place on Sunday, June 1, in Pietrelcina (Province of Benevento, Campania), organized by the The Power of Pink association with the patronage of the Municipality of Pietrelcina and the collaboration of Futuridea. As in previous editions, the starting point was the Piana Romana district, in the places of Saint Pio’s childhood.

How it went

The gathering began at 5:00 PM; at 5:30 PM, the procession crossed the center of Pietrelcina, then lit the candles and officially started at 6:30 PM. Arrival at Parco Colesanti took place around 7:00 PM, while from 8:30 PM the day concluded with a social moment of sharing among participants, volunteers, and families.

The message

In 2025, the common thread remained cancer prevention: Dr. Carlo Iannace, head of the Breast Unit at the “Moscati” hospital in Avellino, insisted on the need to keep attention high on screenings and concrete support for patients and their families.
