'A Fruottula – Bread and Corpus Domini Festival

The 2025 edition of 'A Fruottula in Cefalù launched an articulated cultural and identity project promoted by the Pro Loco Cefalù, with the support of the Municipality and the Diocese, to bring the ancient Corpus Domini tradition back to life and pass on its meaning to new generations.

From June 20 to 29, three main moments followed one another: the photographic exhibition «Shots in Time», inaugurated on June 20 at the Spazio Cultura (former Circolo Unione, Corso Ruggero 131) with archival images of past editions; a liturgical moment with the blessing of bread, on June 21, as a sign of gratitude for the fruits of the earth; and the meeting «Voices of the Fruottula», on June 27, with testimonies and stories from those who experienced the historical editions. A journey that laid the foundations for the full return of the procession the following year.
