Edition 2025 — A Festa Ranni

In odd-numbered years like 2025, the grand summer festival (Festa Ranni) does not take place, but the liturgical patronal feast of Saint Anthony the Abbot is still celebrated on January 17. The day begins with the tolling of bells and cannon shots, followed by Eucharistic celebrations, the blessing of bread, the unveiling of the 16th-century statue, and the blessing of animals, concluding with the evening procession of the saint.

In 2025, an odd-numbered year, Aci Sant'Antonio did not host the summer Festa Ranni — which falls only in even-numbered years — but rather the traditional liturgical patronal feast of Saint Anthony the Abbot, celebrated on January 17. The day, deeply religious, is marked by the tolling of bells and morning cannon shots, Eucharistic celebrations, the blessing of bread, and the unveiling of the precious 16th-century statue depicting the saint in the act of blessing. The blessing of animals, linked to the figure of Saint Anthony the Abbot as the protector of livestock, is also included, while in the evening, the adorned fercolo is carried in procession through the streets of the town, accompanied by the devotion of the local community.
