Edition 2025 — A Fera da Iazzana
The 2025 edition of A Fera da Iazzana brought the scent of the earth, animals, and rural labor back to Portella Gazzana in the Nebrodi mountains, gathering breeders, farmers, families, and visitors.
Saturday, July 12th, opened at 5:00 PM with a free sunset hike on the shepherd trails, led by Barbara Cangemi; at 9:00 PM, the band Route 66 performed live, followed by camping under the stars. On Sunday, July 13th, the fair opened at 6:00 AM, with a ricotta-making demonstration at 8:00 AM and, at 10:30 AM, the conference "Opportunities for Nebrodi Livestock Farming", accompanied by traditional agro-pastoral sounds. Participants in the discussion included Longi Mayor Calogero Lazzara, Municipal Councilor Salvatore Fabio, former Mayor Sandro Lazzara, and the mayors of the neighboring towns of San Marco d'Alunzio, Alcara Li Fusi, and Galati Mamertino.
