A Fanov - Immaculate Conception Bonfire

On Sunday, December 7th, 2025, the eve of the Immaculate Conception, Barletta renewed its appointment with A Fanov, the traditional bonfire that kicks off the Christmas festivities. The event, managed by the Barlett e Avest association with the support of the municipal administration, took place on the Pietro Mennea seafront, in the square adjacent to the Mura del Carmine.

From the morning, along Via Mura del Carmine, the market of traditional Christmas products and the stalls of recreational and social associations came to life, featuring the essential frittelle and numerous local culinary specialties. The day was animated by performances from the I Fieramosca group: flag-wavers, drummers, stilt-walkers, and fire-eaters. At 9:00 PM sharp, after the countdown, the grand pyre was lit, amidst the applause and participation of young and old. The 2025 edition was dedicated to Professor Mariagrazia Vitobello.

Sunday, December 7th, 2025

• From 10:00 AM — Opening of the market of traditional Christmas products and association stalls along Via Mura del Carmine; tasting of fritters and local specialties.
• Afternoon — Itinerant performances by the I Fieramosca group: flag-wavers, drummers, stilt-walkers, and fire-eaters.
• 9:00 PM — Countdown and lighting of the bonfire (the Fanova) on the Pietro Mennea seafront, near the Mura del Carmine.
