6-Hour Menzel Winter Trail 2025
The 2025 edition was held on Sunday, January 5, 2025, with a 9:00 AM start from the Montagna Grande Nature Reserve woodland complex in Misilmeri, in the province of Palermo. Organized by A.S.D. Marathon Misilmeri, the event attracted approximately 120 participants across individual and relay categories.
On the 6 km loop with 485 meters of positive elevation gain, the overall winner was Marco Anselmi (Sport Project VCO) with 8 completed laps, while Brigida Cipolla (Palermo Running) triumphed in the women's category with 7 laps. The day, characterized by mild, nearly spring-like weather, offered athletes spectacular views over the gulfs of Palermo and Cefalù and the snow-capped peaks of the Madonie. The Sicilian Regional Forestry Corps provided the area and services, including hot meals for the competitors.
