5 Martyrs of Artimino Commemorative Performance

The 2025 edition of the 5 Martyrs of Artimino Commemorative Performance took place on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, the anniversary of the 1944 massacre in which two women and three men lost their lives: Vincenzo Del Conte, his daughter Nella, Olinto Fontani, Samuele Nepi, and Zelinda Vangi.

The evening opened at 8:30 PM with a gathering in Piazza San Carlo, in Artimino, a hamlet of Carmignano (Province of Prato), followed by a procession to the memorial plaque and the official ceremony with the laying and blessing of a laurel wreath. At 9:30 PM, also in Piazza San Carlo, the musical theatre reading "Eppure era bella la sera" by the Metropopolare association was performed, directed by Livia Gionfrida: the voice of Giulia Aiazzi traced a path of memories, stories, and landscapes, accompanied by partisan songs and traditional music performed live on the accordion by Matilde Toni.
